Think Better.
Feel Better.
When first reaching out
for therapy
Sometimes your mood just doesn’t feel right or something in your life isn’t working. You may feel anxious, angry, overwhelmed, unmotivated, frustrated or sad. If you are here, you’re probably looking for things to feel different. Therapy is a good start.
Thought is the path to change
Cognitive Therapy encourages us to explore the inseparable relationship between thought and emotions. Often how we think about a situation affects how we feel and what we do next. Cognitive therapy creates a path to both identify and change the impact of thought on our daily lives.
Thought can present in many unhelpful ways
Perfectionism
Being over-accommodating,
A need for validation
Difficulty negotiating relationships
Managing work demands
Avoidance
Social anxiety and isolation
Unhealthy habits
The Goal
...is to identify the goal: what do you want to be different. Therapy is about creating meaningful change. Identifying what you want to change is a needed first step. Consistent focus on a goal creates traction, traction creates change. Therapy is no different.
Our Work Together
…is to utilize the best therapeutic methods to create this change. . Through the use of Cognitive Techniques, Observational Exercises, and Directed Actions you will learn to reduce unhelpful thinking, improve emotional wellbeing, and gain constructive insight all targeting the change you came here to create.
